Sweet, frothy little confection - a fast, easy read. Likeable characters and a predictable storyline make for yet another Regency romp. Not awful, but nothing very special, either.

Tons of fun; well-executed and smartly written.
I believe this was Neville's first book, but the great character development and lovely writing that are consistent in her stories are already evident. She does her homework on the historical authenrticity too. This one has a heroine on the run disguised as a cook. There's also a murder mystery and lots of dessert recipes, making this a very fun read.
If you like a heroine who cooks or bakes, a couple of other authors have done them, "Banquet of Lies" by Michelle Diener(liked it a lot) and "Delicious" by Sherry Thomas(I've never warmed up to her books, but a lot of people like them).
