Fast paced and filled with unexpected twists. Another great thriller typical of Barclay. I did find that I loathed the bad people in this book and it was a bit sad, but a gripping and excellent read. Well done!

Never Look Away is a fast paced thriller that changes directions every time you *think* you've figured it out.
It is a tale of terror that could happen to any family in any ordinary town. It could be your neighbors, family, best friend, a complete stranger or even you. His stories are totally believable, which is why I really enjoy his stories.

Another page-turner from this author. Love how he delves deeply into each main character, and you can really see what motivates them. Keeps you guessing -- "how is he/she going to get out of THIS mess?" Some unexpected twists that turn the story upside-down.

Found this title by Barclay to be much better than the first one of his I read. While I had some of the pieces of the puzzle worked out before they were revealed, I didn't have all of them so I was satisfied overall with the story line. The setup of this woman's disappearance was very well done.

Fast paced thriller.
I read NEVER LOOK AWAY with a reading buddy in my online book club, The Reading Cove--and I'm happy to say it delivers on everything you want in a sharply focused and expertly plotted domestic thriller!
Once I started, it was super hard to put down because the mystery of what goes down with David Harwood and his wife Jan in the prologue is so compelling!
There's really not much else to say without spoilers, but I loved how textured and layered the plot was--and how Linwood Barclay kept cleverly tying things together while keeping the plot twists coming! I dare anyone to predict how this all turns out!
And the best part? He sells it and makes it plausible! Unlike other contrived and sophomoric assembly line nonsense you have to turn your brain off for, NEVER LOOK AWAY bristles with a dedicated author's skill and passion for taking the time to put together an intelligent narrative, with little need for the suspension of disbelief.
So, obviously, I highly recommend this one! It's a fast read that keeps you guessing right up to the end! 4/5 stars!

Linwood Barclay is a topnotch mystery writer but this book didn't measure up. I think I've read the same novel by a dozen different writers; nothing new here.
