I am so tired of romance novels involving rich and successful people!! Are they really more interesting than the rest of us? This book finally changes up on that theme. Here's a guy with PTSD from nearly dying in a forest fire and a woman who left a failed marriage. Both are trying to find balance in their confusing new realities. Bella Andre really knows what women like. The guys are handsome, strong and gentle, the women thoughtful and kind. Connor Mackenzie barely survived a wildfire two years earlier and still suffers from numbness and pain in his hands. He goes to his grandparent's homestead to renovate it for his brother's wedding, when he discovers that his grandparents have rented the cabin to a struggling artist. The two don't immediately hit it off, but both feel the pull of their pheromones. A secondary story keeps the book moving along with surprises and romance.
I think this one may be my favorite in this series. I loved the interaction between Ginger and Conner. It was interesting reading about Isabel and Andrew as well. I liked that both Ginger and Conner had issues that they worked through. Great story!
Loved this story! New author for me and will look for others! Great storyline, characters and moved along nicely. Reference made to love making, believable without the intimate descriptoon, nice for a change. Worth the read!
