Not one of Asimov's best, but highly enjoyable nonetheless. Interesting scientific principles and cardboard characters, but still quite readable.

Classic Isaac Asimov. Sci-fi which makes you think.

Asimov is one of our most prolific writers, having penned over 400 books: mystery, science fiction, and scientific. His prose is a joy to read given so much trash that passes today as literature and academic writing. In this later science fiction work he pursues space travel beyond the speed of lightsuperluminal he calls it. Be prepared for voluminous explanation, in a watered down scientific way, of many of his concepts of space and time. One wonders what approaches reality and what is sheer conjecture, or even balderdash. At some point it can get tedious and one just wants to get on with the plot.

This one was a little strange at first and difficult for me to get into, but once I committed, it got more interesting and it had a nice ending.
