I rarely write a review, but, since I have this book, never to part w/it, I wanted to tell you a few reasons I will keep it. I had no idea the things were done to ordinary nice citizens of a city could have been done. They were tortured, clubbed to death as witnesses cheered them on, burnt to a crisp closed in barns and buildings.Almost an entire city was killed!! Even innocent little children beheaded! Yes, I am fascinated by true crime,altho, this book has so much blood and gore and suffering ( breasts cut off, pictures included!) that I truly cant bring myself to re read it.I just will collect it.I can truly say, aside from Treblinka, this is one of the most harrowing I ever read.The "citizens" of this city, were giddy with enjoyment chasing and hunting the poor Jews...
