Well I have been ruined by Stephanie Plum so it wasn't as good as the Plums but it was good. I laughed out loud at some of the comments made by the characters...they were just things that people would say in real life! I'm excited to read the other books by Janet.

This is the 4th Janet Evanovich early book Ive read in recent weeks, and frankly they are starting to lose their snap-and-sizzle. The book title promised more than it gave.
The only naughtiness was the upstairs neighbor (Pete) pinching the downstairs neighbor (Louisas) newspaper each morning and listening in on her phone conversations. In most neighborhoods, this is just called living-up-close-and-personal with other tenants.
Like most of the Stephanie Plum stories, this plot is definitely secondary to the romance between the 2 lead characters. This plot revolves around a pig seen running the halls of Congress. No kidding!
Fortunately, Evanovichs sharp dialogue makes up for the plot its snappy and on-target. Pete and Louisa embark on a pig hunt that could have a significant impact on national security and international relations. (page 48) See, I didnt make this up!
Like most of the Stephanie Plum books, it didnt take long for Louisas car to be trashed by assailants (who are after Pete and his possessions). In this book, it takes Pete just over 10 minutes to decide that he wants to marry Louisa!
I have to admire anyone who considers donuts and chocolate as two of the major food groups humans need for a healthy life! There are quirks in this book that will reappear in the Plum stories later.
Lest you think that the piggy really matters, it and national security arent mentioned for the last 25 pages of the book!

If you're looking for a Janet Evanovich-fix while you are waiting for the next Stephanie Plum book to come out, then this is right up your alley. Same style, funny dialog. This one is not strong on plot though. The mystery is kind of in the background while the 2 main characters fight it out and ultimately figure out they like each other. Gave it 3.5 stars.
Boring. Repitious like every other book she's written. If you enjoy the first one you'll like the others. Yes, I've read a few but they just keep getting more and more like the one before.
This book was a quick read. It had some good moments but i didn't really enjoy it. All in all i would say that it was okay and not so great.
Early Evanovich romance. The heroine works for a senator and gets caught up with her sexy neighbor/landlord to uncover an insurance scam plot involving a low-fat pig and non-stolen jewels.

This is a laugh out loud story. I had my boyfriend questioning me every few pages to find out what it was that I was laughing at. Very cute and fast read.

great funny story
An easy read about love by accident with the neighbor and a pig that eats the evidence to a jewlery case. Mayham ensues and the unlightly couple can't deny the attraction or the passion that bobbles through them.

This took a while for me to get into the characters and the story line. Seemed very forced to move the story along and get to the ending. Some funny things but the main character seemed like a whiner and somewhat stupid.She couldn't decide if she was going to be smart and sassy or ditsy.
