Different kind of reading. Case files from Anne Rule when she was a police detective. If you like cop stories this is a good book to read.
The case of Jerry Harris, a self made California millionare who, at forty-four, had it all: booming business, yachts, a mansion, a beautiful wife, and a voice to rival Elvis. No one who knew this well-liked, generous man could make sense of his sudden disappearance one man could make sense of his sudden disappearance one October night in 1987. On a final phone call to his brother from his Mercedes, Jerry breathed a muffled oath-then the line went dead.
What happened to Jerry Harris, and who is responsible for his disappearance?
Three more previous cases also.
I enjoyed this book, and its different cases.

In the Name of Love probes the case of Jerry Harris, a self made California millionaire who, at age forty-four, had it all: booming businesses, yachts, a mansion, a beautiful wife, and a voice to rival Elvis. No one who knw this well-liked, generous man could make sense of his sudden disappearance one October night in 1987. On a final phone call to his brother from his Mercedes, Jerry breathed a muffled oath - then the line went dead. For Jerry's wife, Susan, it was just the beginning of a relentless eight-year search for the truth behind her husband's vanishing.

Rule examines the Jerry Harris case, self-made CA millionaire who at 41 y.o. disappears. Rule profiles the perp in this case. Included are crime files Vol IV and several pages of the obligatory "shocking" pictures....NY Times Bestseller author, TC, NF

The title story in this collection is riveting. Rule does not need to remind us again and again that Steve Bonilla is a frightening man and Susan Harris is very, very lucky to be alive; Bonilla's actions tell the story for her. The other four cases are almost as interesting, if much, much shorter. Ann Rule's Crime Files, #4.

This was not one of the better true crime books I have read. To me it dragged on and on at times about the businesses and relationships he had with the 3 main characters involved. I did not go on to read the other stories in this group of books but will at some later time.
