The hero is still affected by teenage angst in his 30's. Other than his self-doubt and self-flagellation, it was a mostly fun story, with a rather abrupt ending. Not really up to the standard of the Naked Duke.

It is time to wander around with some more naked nobility. This time I have set my sights on the third book in the series, and we will talk more in depth with The Earl of Westbrooke, Robbie. Robbie was seen as a character in both The Naked Duke and The Naked Marquis, and in those stories he saw his to best friends get the terrifying leg shackle. Something Robbie reverently avoids, he has become very adapt at escaping the parsons mousetrap.
Or is that what he really wants? Is Robbie truly afraid of marriage, or is he afraid of something else? We will find out in this story that Robbie has a terrifying secret, and no matter how much he loves Lady Elizabeth, he can not marry her. And he does love her, its no secret that Lizzie the Duke of Alizarins sister loves Robbie, and among the ton it is not secret he casts the same glances.
The Naked Earl is a fantastic story, just like the other two books. It does have a few small points that drag a little bit. But other than that it is titillating. And like The Naked Duke it steps out of some of the normals of the romance genre. We have a very bad villain, and also a villainess. You will even find a few soft mentions to BDSM, nothing to terrify your senses. But the villains to make a mention of it. Over all if you have enjoyed the other books in the series you will like this one. If you havent read the others you will want to so you know who all the characters are. Although you could get away with just reading The Naked Duke. So if youre a romance reader join me in giggling at the romps of the Naked Nobles, Robbie is sure to make you laugh!

Charming, clever, sassy, sexy and loving all in one book. The Naked Earl is actually the third book in Sally MacKenzie's Naked Series (following the Naked Duke and the Naked Marquis).
The Naked Earl gives Lizzie Runyon (the sister of the Duke of Alvord aka The Naked Duke) an opportunity to get the man she wants, the man she's always loved -- Robbie Hamilton, the Earl of Westbrooke.
Robbie is pushing every measure of honor he has to the limits trying to stay away from Lizzie. Loving her as he does, he wants the best for her and he knows he's not worthy of her goodness.
Together, along with several members of the ton, they lure and lose themselves in their opposing goals, only to end up in each other arms each time.
Witty, madcap adventure follows every page, sometimes naughty and sometimes shocking, but it definitely keeps the story moving. The focused and fiesty protagonists (and antagonists) will have you laughing and shouting until that final climax.
I can't wait for Meg's story in the Naked Gentleman.

I had anticipated this book for so long because I absolutely loved the 1st two "Naked..." books! I just didn't think this one measured up.
The 2nd characters were much more entertaining and hopefully will reappear in their own story. =)

I read this second or third and reaaly found it funy! Unusual to hear me laugh aloud while reading!
very humorous beginning! enjoyable, light read.
OK. Over-the-top silly.
Awww, I loved Robbie and Lizzie. What an adorable couple... Ms. Mackenzie has done it again. Great read!
I did like this book, but like the other books of this series they end rather suddenly and without much umph! But the books are a funny read from beginning to end.
I really liked this book. I recommend it, especially for those who have read the rest of the series. A House party, bed hopping, and Baron Tynweith's revenge on his father's shrubbery is funny. The characters are interesting, and it is a good read.
Excellent book. I love the characters in this series!
I so loved the Naked Marquis and have waited for a year for this book to come out. It was good but our hero was so tortured throughout the story that I felt sad for him the entire story, even knowing it had a happy ending. Her previous book had me laughing out loud I so enjoyed it, maybe I was just expecting too much. I haven't read the first in the series, but am looking forward to it. I just don't do the tortured soul very well.
very cute, funny in parts but exceptional book read in one day
Loved it. Great story. Sensual love-making. I usually skim over that stuff. It never really adds to a story. This really did! I recommend reading all books in the series. Not necessary to read them in order.
This is a great series!! Ssstttteeeeaaaammmmy !
Very good 3rd book in this series!
Bk # in the Naked Lord Series. Lady Elizabeth has loved "Robbie", the Earl of Westbrooke, her older brothers best friend forever and he loves her. They have never declared themselves and "Robbie" won't because he has a secret. Interesting things begin to happen at a country house party and love triumphs. Loved this story. Did not realize it was third in series so now I need to get the other two. This could be read on its own, but Mackenzie is a witty writer so I'm interested in the other two.

Really enjoyed this book, the characters are fun, lively and seem to get into all kinds of interesting situations. It has been a great series.
The Earl of Westbrooke has no intentions of being tricked into marrige by a destable female, and if he has to flee naked across the rooftop, he will. There is one open window waiting--as well as an undressed, slightly drunk, and alluringly beautiful Lady Elizabeth, his best friend's sister.
Loved this book, super fun! Be aware it's the 2nd in a series.
A naked earl fleeing from an atempt to trap him into marriage climbs thru an open window to find himself in the bedroom of another lady
