Trixie Beldon and her friends come across a very interesting mystery. Trixie finds an old note behind a fault wall and her parents attic that says that there is a emerald necklace to be found, and Trixie goes from New York to Virginia to Williamsburg with dives parents, Mr. and Mrs. Lynch, and they visit Williamsburg and then they look for the Emerald necklace, which turns out to be a very interesting hunt. Do they find that necklace? You'll need to read the story and find out. I think this is the best of the Trixie Belden mysteries because it goes on and on.

Number 13 was my very first trixie belden. I read it when I was ten and I was sure that I would grow up just like her. She started me on a love of reading that has never ended. Strong female character with a great cast of friends, male and female and the first budding crush that even after 31 books does not get further then the dream of romance. Perfect for a young girl to read.
