I had to teach a music appreciation class. This is my saviour for the class. It is clear and well laid out. I turly can hear the things that they talk about of the pieces that they discuss. I was a musician at one time and I don't think that I knew that much about the pieces that I played as I am learning now. Great book for learning music.
