These volumes of Mushishi are excellent. Invisible to the eye Mushi are (Bug in Japanese)another category of life, separate from animals and plants. They are looked at as supernatural phenomena to people. They can be benign but can, at times, cause problems when they interact with people. Ginko is a person who sees them and try's to untangle the problems that they cause. Each story can stand alone and the are is detailed and beautiful. I recommend these books for anyone to read. And there is an anime about these stories that is just as wonderful.
