A enjoyable little cozy. I like all the references sprinkled in the book to 1950s products.

A funny protagonist and a story set in 1954 makes this book a little different from the norm--very enjoyable.

This book takes place in 1954 and the author does a good job of combining history and mystory. Her characters are well-rounded and the plot is good -- though a tiny bit predictable. But overall very well done.

It's a quick weekend read. Nothing taxing and a good escape. Definitely worth checking out the rest of the series.

If you remember the '50s, you'll love this book. If you are too young, all the more reason to read it. It takes a Real Woman to chase the bad guys wearing heels, a hat, and gloves.

While the plot was interesting, the verbiage wasn't. This author possesses the not-so-unique ability to take a novelette and turn it into a overly long, dragged out novel. At 291 pages it had to be 100 pages too long. After about 70-80 pages I began to skim the text in a rush to get to the end, but only because I wanted to know who killed the dumb blonde.

And even though it took place in the 1950s, I really got tired of the number of cigarettes she smoked and the alcohol she drank. And some of the characters were just that, weirdo types the author thought readers would find plausible.

I was a great Brenda Starr fan, so I took to Paige immediately.
