Another great Gaslight Mystery by Victoria Thompson! This time Malloy and Sarah end up investigating a murder that takes place during a seance. The witnesses aren't too keen on participating as they are wealthy, highly respected society members, but each of them seems to have a motive.

This is one of the best series I have ever read! Very proper Mrs. Felix Decker, Sarah's mother, becomes imbroiled in murder. She and some other wealthy, influential people will do just about anything to keep the fact that they were at a seance (where someone was killed) out of the public's (and their family's) knowledge. It is up to Malloy to keep Sarah's mother's name free from scandal, and naturally, much to his chagrin, Sarah must once again assist him in his investigation!
