To be read at your own leisure and with over 600 pages, this is a terrific book for summer reading. It includes locations and writers from all over the world. All the stories are from "Ellery Queens Mystery Magazine" and "Alfred Hitchcock's Mystery Magazine". There are, of course, many writers who contributed to this anthology but some of them include Patricia Highsmith, Edward D. Hoch, Joan Aiken, Lawrence Block, Ruth Rendell, Simon Brett, Peter Lovesey, Anton Chekhov, H.R.F. Keating, Jeffrey Scott and Isaac Asimov. I gave this book a 9 rating instead of a 10 because some of the stories I just couldn't get into. But as an anthology, you can pick and choose.
