Fun reading. The animals did all the work.
These "Mrs. Murphy" mysteries are delightful. Involved in the detecting process are two cats and a dog, who "talk" over the case with each other and try to leave clues for their "mother," postmistress Mary Minor Haristeen (Harry) to follow. The dialog and actions of cats and dog(one cat slim and trim the other rotund)and Welsh Corgi make the plot so much more interesting. The concept of talking animals sounds juvenile but really works here. Enjoy!

Another wonderful Mrs Murphy mystery. With the assistance of Tee Tucker, the clever Corgi, and Pewter, the fat cat, she must solve the riddle of the fake obits being placed in the papers. Her human may be marked for the next obit and killing!

Good story, love the animals interaction with one another.
Another great Mrs Murphy book
Another installment in the Mrs Murphy & friends series.
I love these books because the cat & dog carry on conversations & the woman who owns them doesn't realize it. They usually end of solving the mystery before she does.
Another great book in this series where the cat helps tell the story. The characters are great, with another mystery to solve.

This was my first Rita Mae Brown book and I thoroughly enjoyed it. Mrs. Murphy, Tucker and Pewter prove that sometimes animals are much smarter than people. Their conversations with each other are hilarious, too bad the people can't understand them.
I plan to read more of Brown's books, she has a unusual approach to her writing and I like the list of characters in the front since there are a lot to keep track of.

My particular copy has a red cover but the name and author match exactly. Good cat mystery.
