This was a delightful cozy mystery that kept me guessing who done it until the end. Glory and Karen are a wonderful pair of friends who find themselves in interesting situations as they investigate. I like the idea of the parrot hosting the ghost of Uncle Louis. Looking forward to the next release in this series.

I did a review on the 1st book in this series and felt it had some flaws but I loved book one.

Book 2 was just dull, and repetitive. The gay couple in the book are still just extra people in the story, and are not really interesting. So that didnt change from the last book. In book 2, Too much time was spend telling our main character to be careful, and retelling what they learned. There were very few clues, that pertained to the problem. Bluebird gives the biggest clue, and Right away I knew the clue had double meaning,, and I knew who the villain is going to be.

I was glad to see that Sly and BOBO the dog play a much bigger role, as we get to know them better, which is what I wanted to see happen since book 1.

Just too many things made this a sloppy book with sloppy unrealistic police procedure errors, and I dont mean minor technicalities.

Of course I plan to read the next book. I just want you to know that this one is boring step from book 1 to get to book 3.

Coffee?

The second installment of the Haunted Souvenir Shop Mystery finds Glory helping her friend Karen trying to clear her ex-brother-in-law of murder. Karen is expecting fresh fish from her ex for the supper club she shares with Glory, Felipe and Ernie. Instead, Bobby borrows the boat and becomes the prime suspect in murder.

This is an enjoyable series. Bluebeard the parrot exhibits traits and mannerisms of Glory's deceased great uncle Louis. She seems to be in denial most of the time about the possibility of Bluebeard's possession. Glory at times is also clueless about her budding romance with bookstore owner, Jake.

The characters are fun, the plot is well thought out and you gotta love a foul mouthed parrot!

Nestled in Keyhole Bay, Florida, Glory Martine's souvenir shop, Southern Treasures, is supposed to trap tourists -- not ghosts. But a possessed parrot may be just what Glory needs to solve a murder... â Inheriting her great-uncle Louis's bayside souvenir shop should have been a breeze for Glory. Instead it's been one headache after another -- with a lot of them generated by Bluebeard, a parrot with a mouth like a sailor and a personality a lot like her late great-uncle. But Glory's troubles pale in comparison to those of her best friend Karen, whose ex may still have the personalized key chain to her heart, but whose brother-in-law is about to get locked up.

A diver has been found with a gaff hook in his chest, and Karen turns to Glory to help get her brother-in-law off the hook for his murder. But casting the net for the real killer won't be easy. Glory and Bluebeard are about to find out that the secrets in Keyhole Bay run deeper than anyone ever imaginedâ¦

A wonderful easy to read paranormal cozy set in a small tourist town in the Florida panhandle. Glory has part ownership of her late uncle's souvenir shop and recently discovered that includes her uncle's ghost. Her uncle speaks to her through his parrot she also inherited.

This cozy tells us about the "mermaids" who swam in aquariums back in the day. Glory and her friends continue their Down-Home Dinners with yummy true Southern foods. (Unfortunately the copy I read, someone had torn the recipes out of the book!)

Two more of this series to read and I'm looking forward to them.

Nice like light murder mystery with a parrot is large role of giving out clues to solve the mystery.
