I love this series, but I have to say this book wasn't as good as the others. There is alot of content about Jon & Ashley's relationship, Melanie & Cam's, etc. Every once in awhile something will be thrown in about the mystery going on. Didn't seem to be much cohesion with the mystery. Seemed very fragmented, at times I almost forgot there was a mystery there at all. I will say I was surprised at who actually did the deed, but the reason seemed a little strange.

What a great book and series. The characters are well developed , believable and interact well. My only complaint is that her books are hard to get. I have read everyone in the series through this one and am having trouble getting the next one.
Her care in presenting the southern Norht Carolina area and its historical places is really good and interesting.
