The characters get better and better. This one introduces a pyramid scheme and a double murder (but WHO was the intended victim and WHO got in the way?). Small town characters complete with all their quirks!

The Scumble River mysteries are light and charming; good "beach read" or a cold winter's night in front of the fire.

This is a very enjoyable book to read and it is pretty easy reading. Skye continues to be an unusual heroine and very believeable. I would recommend this book, and the entire series in fact.

I have read several of her mysteries and I liked this one the best so far. I really enjoyed it, thourght it was funny and fun, and couldn't figure out who did it.

Fifth in the Scumble River series. Skye is let into the world of the high society segment of Scumble River, and of course finds "Barbie & Ken" murdered in their own home. Of course she cannot just allow the police department to solve this crime on their own without her "help". Great characters in the series continue to develop, along with Skye's latest romance.

If you want a light-hearted tongue-in-cheek easy to read book, Denise Swanson is your writer. She is a delight. I've not found a one of her books I haven't enjoyed! She can definitely put a lift in one's spirit even with a dark subject. If you haven't read any of her books, this is your chance!
I could have read this in one sitting, if I only had the time! Love this series!
