Patti Benning writes several series, that are short cozy mysteries. I really do love this one the most. Our main character lives in a very small town, Asheville, Michigan. The small town grocery store is closing due to a big box store 20 minutes away.
There are several likable characters, that make this series enjoyable. Plus the main character isnt too stupid to live, and has a cute dog.
The mysteries are not too hard, and I like that the MC is not putting herself in grave danger. Enough red herrings in each book to keep you reading.
