A young, married woman is found at the abbey. She had been painting at her easel when she suddenly keeled over dead. When Constable Haze is told of the body, he asks Captain Redmond to look over the body to give him some idea of why and how she died. The village immediately assumes she died of fright because the abbey was reputed to be haunted.

Unfortunately, I guessed the murderer almost immediately. Thus the story was less interesting. Overall score = G+.
