I really enjoyed this book-I did guess who the murderer was pretty much right away but it was still fun reading and I wasn't 100% sure all the time reading it. She kept me second guessing myself most of the way through the book.

I though the book was OK. I liked it up until Alison has a major snag with her sort of boyfriend. If I say to much I will give it away, but I just didn't like it. To leave something that major out of a conversation is pretty big, but then again the author does not give the characters much time to talk about other things besides the murder investigation. I don't even see how they were a couple. Only finished the book because I started it. Not interested in the other books.

Chick lit with smart women, comedy and a murder mystery all rolled into one. I really enjoyed this!

This was a lighter, fluffier mystery than what I usually read. There were places where the writing was uneven. (Like starting every sentence in an entire paragraph with the word "I." "I walked to the kitchen. I got a piece of cake. I sat down and ate it. I washed the dishes.") I also felt that there wasn't a huge mystery in this novel. I think this was due to the fact that the main character wasn't really doing anything to solve the mystery. Despite all this, I liked the characters and will probably read the sequel to this novel, to see if the writing improves.
This book reads super fast. If you like Stephanie Plumb novels, then this is your new favorite author!!!!
This is a fast and fun read, filled with zinging one-liners and witty, clever dialogue. The author adds a couple of twists that were unnecessary and the ending was completely unexpected. Overall, I'll admit that I enjoyed this one more than I thought I would. I'll definitely continue with the next book in the series.
"Your ass looks great in that dress."
Alison Bergeron is having a bad week. Her divorce is final, someone stole her car and one of her students is found dead in the trunk of that car when it is located. Enter two NY detectives, one of which Alison falls for.
This is a easy quick read with plenty of humor, madcap abductions and a little romance. The twist at the end was unexpected. I need to read the next book to see where it is going

I did not care for this book. There was too much of her chatting with and spending time with the cop and too little sleuthing, clues, plot. I do not think I will read another in this series based on this one.
