This was an awesome book of an American reporter and a Jewish young woman and their love story through horrific times of the events in Germany when Hitler was starting to make his presence known. It is not a depressing book, but seems very factual and the love story is intertwined in such a way that it adds sweetness at just the right parts.
Elisa Murphey and Leigh Feldstein risked everything to stand against the tide of Nazi terrorism and to by chance at life for two small boys. When Elisa is at last reunited w/ Murphey the danger is past for the small Charles. Or is it?

This is book 3 in a series that I thoughly enjoyed. As a result of reading this series, I've become much more interested in the working of WWII and the details of the war. Highly recommend this entire Historical Fiction series.
Another terrific read by the Thoene's. Continued right where you left off in book 2...Prague Counterpart. It like you never put the book down and went to another. If you are not into history...you will learn much about the European History before WW2. Although the plot and characters are fictional... the Historical figures and places and time are very accurate. Must read. dg
