I haven't read too much "lad lit", but this one just didn't hold my attention very well. It wasn't that it had a bad premise or that it was poorly written. In fact, I'm not sure what didn't work for me. The idea is that Duffy isn't sure if he wants to commit to his long time girlfriend Mel. It's supposed to give us a look inside the head of a male that's afraid to commit. But, it just didn't work for me. I found my mind wandering a lot while reading and that I had to reread sections because I wasn't paying attention. I guess I just didn't feel connected to the characters and didn't care enough about what they went through. Oh well. It happens. :)

A fun, light book about a man's struggle to commit to marriage.

Fun and fairly well-written. Story of a relationship from the man's point of view. He's a stand-up comic who can't seem to make a commitment. Good beach read.
