A very satisfying series of modern British who-dunnits. Well written and the two main characters are appealing. Lighter fare than P.D. James or Elizabeth George, but quite satisfying nevertheless.

I am really liking this series; great mysteries that are not filled with frivolous material. Really like the relationship Duncan and Gemma have; this book was my favorite so far. I wish it hadn't taken me this long to find this series but I sure am glad I did.

Another great book by Crombie. In this one, Superintendent kincaid is called in to investigate the murder of a powerful policeman who's history of arrogance and cruelty was legendary. Good read.
