Exciting story about a climber who gets more than he bargains for while doing a routine hike up the nearby mountains! This monster has a temper and this is a really fun read that has two extra short stories by the same author in the back of the book.

I love this author and this book was non stop action from page 1. An interesting take on Bigfoot or Wendigo or whatever you want to call him. In this story the creature is intelligent, I dont want to spoil the story in saying how smart this thing is. The town tries blaming the main guy in this for possibly murdering his friend after disappearing from a fall off of a cliff during a blizzard. So he is on the run to find his beloved friend, more out of love than fear of what he is being accused of. His daughter tries to bring in supplies from time to time to help out, until she has a bad run in with this creature. This was a really good story, a must read!

Really dumb story. I give it credit for not wasting 100 pages before introducing the creatures, but it rambles on forever with lots of meaningless drivel about the hero's cheating wife before the climax set back on the mountain as the hero battles the creatures while trying to find his lost hiking buddy.
