Yellin tries to do too much in too little space, with the result that she can only give each of the several dozen groups of women she attempts to cover a quick 'lick and a promise'. If you know nothing about women's roles in World War II, this might be of interest as in introductory survey volume. Written from a strong feminist perspective.
