Who knew Patty Heaton was both a hilarious writer and a solid advice giver? Her chapter on the realities of marriage alone is priceless! So refreshing to see SOMEONE in Hollywood with her feet on the ground!

"The really important things in life are your family and friends.
And what will people say about you at your funeral-that you won an Emmy once, or that you were a good person, kind and generous? Well, as for me, I hope it's the latter. And the fact that I recently commissioned an Emmy-shaped coffin just eliminates the need for anyone to bring it up."
"Engaging, effervescent...Upbeat memoir that doesn't obsess about the rough times but instead is beguilingly sensible and wise about what is important: the author's family, faith, and craft...An invigorating breath of fresh air." ---Kirkus Reviews

As a fan of Everybody Loves Raymond and a fellow northeast Ohioian myself, I was very interested in reading this book. However, I became disillusioned after she insulted my hometown & I was no longer interested in what she had to say. I finished the book just to have it be done with.
