Third in series, first Entwined, then Fallen, followed by this book, Moonlit.
While Entwined was a terrific book, Fallen and Moonlit were both disappointments. Emma Jensen certainly can write well, but her characters and the romances just don't find any real sparks or life off the page.
Moonlit follows Trevor St. Wulfstan and Mrs. Nell Nolan. He's a scarred scoundrel and she's a courtesan. His scar is on his forehead and while some are upset by it, the scars don't seem to really effect his place in society or how he perceives himself. He does have deep emotional scars, but the facial scar almost seems irrelevant.
Despite some fairly interesting reveals about both characters, nothing gelled with this romance. Nell is practical almost to a fault, Trevor is kind of a jerk and never really apologizes for his behavior.
Unfortunately Emma Jensen is going on the Do Not Read list after this dud.
