jace sees Maddie andit is love at first sight. His meddling sister deliberately causes problems that have to be overcome.
This is a great read. If you like this one, you must read the following 2 books in this trilogy.

This was my first time reading a book written by Lori Wick. The book was okay, not great. I don't know if I will read the other books in the triology.

This first book in the Tucker Mills Trilogy from beloved author Lori Wick follows Jace Randall as he leaves his childhood home to help his Uncle Woody Randall run the saw mill in Token Creek. Jace diligently focuses on work until he meets the visiting niece of local storekeepers. Jace pursues her until she finally agrees to attend a picnic with him and take a chance.
But before the relationship has a strong foundation, the couple separates because of gossip fueled by Jaces sister. Later, when she admits her wrongdoing and shares her testimony of a new faith, the couple must decide whether to try again. A little slow but ok. The characters are cute and you just fall in love with them. Not the ending I was expecting.
