Helpful Score: 1
Romantic suspense with a Victorian New York setting and a great atmosphere, characters and plot.
Suspense, romance, great characters -- what's not to like!! Very good.
Clever and beautiful jewel thief Lady Moonlight, disguised as innocent, yet seductive debutante Mystere Rillieux, meets her match in railroad magnate Rafe Belloch, a man she once robbed, who unbeknownst to Mystere, knows her true identity, and as passion rages between, revenge threatens to tear them apart.
I really didn't find the characters compelling enough for the book to have more than 2-1/2 stars. Their cat-and-mouse game just seemed to drag on and on. And, the book didn't have a satisfying enough conclusion.
Very good book! Lots of plot twists and thrills!
