I enjoyed this book immensely.Starting with Keith Moon as a young man, it breaks the truth about many legend that surround him. The stories of this complicated man's escapades reads like pure fiction, it makes me want to have known him and glad I never did. He was a genius with addictions and probably some kind of personality disorder or two. What starts out sounding like a good time with a caring, generous but sometimes scary person ends up just scary, taking the turn after the death of a close friend that was partly his fault. Not enough pictures but the ones there are are wonderful. I thought I knew a lot about The Who but realize I only knew the tip of the iceberg. Details about the entire band and the songs they wrote and sang give glimpses of the band that defines the 'classic rock' genre made me buy a new stereo so I could listen for all the new facts. My copy can never go to someone else now, it's got highlights on every other page. If you're the least bit interested in the history of The Who, this is a wonderful place to start.
