Dystopian Young Adult novel. After a meteor hit the Earth, humans were forced to move civilization underground. After many years, the Presidency became a life-long appointment, handed down within the Nailen family. The Constitution, abandoned. The Undergound divided into three levels. The Elite, polticians and well to do population live in the upper level, the Sun Realm. The workers, in the mid-level, known as the Moon Realm. Everybody else, the dregs of society, the lowest classes, on the very bottom, the Star Realm.

Seventeen year old Adele Rose and her parents are sentenced to life in prison, for treason, for reasons unknown to her. She has no idea if her parents are alive or not. When she turns 18 she will be transferred to the Max prison. When an opportunity to escape presents itself, Adele takes it.

Tristan is the eldest son of President Nailen. Tristan is disgusted by his father, and his blatant abuse of all of the populace. Through unforeseen circumstances, Adele and Tristan lock eyes on each other, and are drawn to each other, and then the adventure begins.

Exciting, well-written novel. Every bit as good as some other dystopian stories out there. Can't wait to find out what happens next!

One of the best books I've read so far this year!

I received this book for my Kindle late last year and almost halfway into the story (in about 2 sittings!) I misplaced the Kindle. I was so pleased to unearth this same device in time for a preemptive vacation. So glad I did!

Loved the story, loved the characters, loved the author's writing - enough so that I intend to glom everything else he's written as soon as Earth Day/Earth Day Season (I'm an environmental educator) finally winds down for this year.

I am delighted that this is book 1 in The Dwellers series so there is more to come.
