A memoir of the Hollywood adventures of writers John Gregory Dunne and his wife Joan Didion as they develop the screenplay for the film "Up Close and Personal" (starring Michelle Pfeiffer and Robert Redford). This book makes a nice companion to Didion's "The Year of Magical Thinking" in which she chronicles her grief after Dunne's death in 2003.
