This book was a fascinating look into the cult that was Hare Krishna. If you were born after the 1970's you may never have heard of this group of shaved-head, robe-wearing hippie types. They used to hang out in public places, chanting and begging for money. The group achieved a certain notoriety when the Beatles were dabbling in mysticism in the late 60's.
Because of power struggles within the group's hierarchy, violence and several murders ensued before the cult was dissolved.
