I really like this mystery series. If you like historical and/or Celtic stuff, you probably would, too.

I enjoyed the setting and suspense of this novel. The author did an excellent job at developing the characters, so much so, I want to read a sequel to it.
You have to stay with this one to the very end. Don't overlook any detail and there are lots of them. I really like the way Tremayne weaves his stories and put Sister Fidelma in the center of the mystery.
Sister Fi does it again, solves the mystery, catches the bad guys and saves the kingdom. Excellent read.

Usually, the Sister Fidelma mysteries are more mind games, with her trying to decipher clues and tie them into the old laws. This one was still the same, but with so much added action I felt I was reading a thriller.
Unlike the previous stories, Filelma is having some second thoughts about her feelings toward Brother Eadulf.

pretty good mystery series featuring "Sister Fidelma" as the detective who filters through the lies and cover-ups in each case to find the truth.
Good story but I didn't think it was one of his best. The plot was too thin. I had a good idea of the outcome of the story before I had read a few chapters. Looking forward to book #8
