Money
Author: Martin Amis
The story of John Self and his insatiable appetite for money, alcohol, drugs, porn and more. Ceaselessly inventive and thrillingly savage, it is a tale of life lived without restraint; of money and the disasters it can precipitate.

A biting, hilarious book at one man's relentless pursuit of pleasure in Reagan's America and Thatcher's Britain.

Way over the top. Though it hooked me in the beginning, I couldn't keep up. Toward the end I was rushing to finish. Amis is a gifted writer, but this effort seems laborious and downright Schizophrenic at times. Too much sprawl and not enough focus.
