book 3 of the legendary neuromancer series. get in on the ground floor with this series. the author is said to have been the source of the term "cyberspace" and "matrix" this is in the 80's. so guess how far ahead of the game this guy is? one way to get an idea is to read the books! i recommend them heartily. fantastic adventure stories thru hitech environs and just about everything you could expect from a world where tijuana seems like a nice, conservative town.

Typical hardcore William Gibson... dark and inventive.
Helpful Score: 3
Gibson is a "must read" contemporary author. He is the most exciting talent in Sci/Fi, and worth reading regardless of the genre. I reluctantly post this book, but do so in the spirit of sharing something so fresh in literature. This guy throws lightning bolts every once in a while.

Gibson is one of the best sci-fi writers ever. The creator of cyber-punk. One of his best. The spine of the book is creased but the book is in good condition

Into the cyber-hip world of William Gibson comes Mona, a young girl with a murky past and an uncertain future whose life is on a collision course with internationally famous Sense/Net star Angie Mitchell. Since childhood, Angie has been able to tap into cyberspace without a computer. Now, from inside cyberspace, a kidnapping plot is masterminded by a phantom entity who has plans for Mona, Angie, and all humanity, plans that cannot be controlled...or even known. And behind the intrigue lurks the shadowy Yakuza, the powerful Japanese underworld, whose leaders ruthlessly manipulate people and events to suit their own purposes.
