I really enjoyed this book. However, I liked sTori Telling better. What I really like about her writing style, is she seems to tell it like it is. Even if it is off putting for people. It's a nice look into the hollywood circle.
I also believe this book is good for individuals with rocky relationships with their own mothers. It might be good to read about someone else who struggles with their mother-daughter relationship, and how they deal with that when they have children-grandparent relationship at stake!

i liked this even more than sTORI telling... I like her more and more the more i read about her and her lovely family... I really like her parenting style and her children are beutiful... She has a big heart and has a big sense of humor... She tells laugh out loud funny stories of things that have happned to her that most celebs im sure would be embarrased about and rather keep a secret... The thing i like the most about her is that she is who she is like it or not take it or leave it and she's unapologetic about it... I can see how her personality might rub some people the wrong way (especially her issues with her mom) but hey she's being honest and i cant say there is anything wrong with that.... I flew through this one...definitly real cute----some real cute pics of her little ones are in there too.... and OMIGOD are her kids CUTE!!

Mommywood is Tori Spelling's newest memoir, it picks up where sTORI Telling left off. Mostly she writes about what it is like being a mother in Hollywood. She has a lot of insecurities resulting from her childhood and she is honest about trying to work through them while focusing on her children. There were some humorous stories in the book, such as the first time she tried to change her son's dirty swim diaper by herself (for the non-mommies out there, soiled swim diapers are a little harder to handle then regular diapers). As a mom with small children, I could relate to a lot of the parenting situations she wrote about (although not all of them, such as handling a tantrum in front of paparazzi). She seemed to be a genuine nice person that really loves her family and I had a enjoyable afternoon eavesdropping on her life.

I thought this was a great follow up to her first book, sTori Telling. She makes me laugh out loud and the way she describes her experiences is so entertaining! I thought it was nice how she detailed her life NOW that she has set the record straight on all the rumors with her first book.

But toward the end, I did think she referred to herself as a celebrity a little too much. I know it defines a lot of her and her struggles, but in a way it kind of felt like she was overusing the term "celebrity". Either way, I still liked the book and I still like her!

I felt like I was a close friend of Tori Spelling's after I read her book. She appears to be honest and forthcoming, and she and Dean seem to be great parents who really are trying to put their children first. Without a strong maternal figure, Tori is putting her best mommy foot forward, and raising her children as her top priority. She is not living in the wealth of her father, but works hard to provide for her family. Interesting and a quick read.

I really enjoyed this book, just as I did her first one! I really think Tori is a down to Earth celeb and what you see is what you get. She seems like someone who I would def. be friends with. Great writer and such a fun story teller. I didn't realize she was so funny! The book had me laughing and also crying at times. Good read!
