I have to say first that I love miniatures, had a dollhouse and still have lots of the furniture and accessories. That is what led me to this series in the first place. Ms. Grace does a wonderful job describing them and offers ideas of how to make miniatures from simple things around the house. The other reason I have continued to read this series is the murder mystery. She does a deft job creating interesting characters. I love not only Gerry Porter but I adore her granddaughter Maddie as well. Some of the other recurring characters are just as engaging, like her nephew Skip, the homicide detective, and her boyfriend Harry. The plot was as intricate as her miniatures and kept me turning the pages until I was done. I highly recommend this series!
