This is not the Deaver of mangled body parts and mysterious events that coalesce and become part of a devious plot. This is a story about a paralegal (Taylor Lockwood) in a prestigious Wall Street law firm. She takes an assignment to work with a high-powered attorney (one who actually goes into court and argues cases) and works with him to find a missing document. The twists and turns of this plot will keep the reader wanting to read more and more. Read this one to the very last page, though--you have no idea where it will end!

Good book--not quite up to Deaver's Lincoln Rhyme series, but a great story nonetheless. He has a great gift for the unexpected twist and for setting the reader up to "know for sure" whodunit, only to be proven wrong. Love, love, love Jeffery Deaver.
