Books are important reading that encourages self-esteem in youngsters. This book will be welcome reading after students reach the rigors of school. Research indicates that children start school full of hopes and dreams. However, somewhere in the first two years, the self-esteem of children plummets. I was glad to see that Tamara's story aims at that important group of children who can feel defeated by either school or their peers.
