I am not a fan of the "ending" being reveiled halfway through the book, but this book has a spoiler of its own around page 220. That being said, I read it through and am on the wish list for the next in the series. There is still more to know and this one did leave you hanging with other aspects. I just felt a little let down that early intot he book and series to discover such a culminating event so quickly.

I had read and really enjoyed the 1st book in the series and was looking forward to this one. The problem for me was that this book jumped right in where the previous book left off with no "refresher" of what happened and the characters in the 1st book (which for me was about 60 books ago and the plotline and characters of that one were somewhat lost in the mists of time...) I finally got comfortable with everything about 1/2 way through and I was fine from there but I am sure I missed all sorts of nuances in the early chapters. Because of all that, I did not feel this book was as involving as the 1st but I will go on and read the 3rd book when it becomes available. Overall, a bit of a disappointment for me.

I enjoyed this book and found myself immersing myself in the story. Could hardly wait to start book 3 and see what happens to Grace, her mother, and Heather.

This book was slightly better than The Secret, but I still felt like it was not typical Lewis style. It was a little more light and uplifting, a little more character development, a little less talking in circles and a little bit of suspense; but still not great. Maybe I'm not as impressed because I think that books in a series should still be able to be their own book. I'm a sucker though and will still read The Telling because I need to know what happens now that I have invested this much time into the first two of the series; I will probably just skim it though.

2nd book in the series and I love series. The Story is about a mother who has left her family to fix something that happened when she was young. They don't know where she is or what she is doing and they miss her. Her oldest daughter has taken on the household chores and keeping the family together. She wants her mother to come home.
