The writing is uneven, the cat is an afterthought, and there is one scene that is unexpectedly pornographic for a novel that is otherwise a cozy. However, the plot did keep me guessing for most of the book.

This started out a little slow, but got better and better, with a surprise ending. I figured out part of the crime about 3/4 of the way through, but there was more... I really enjopyed this book, and plan to continue the series.

I loved this arthor. This is the first book of hers I've read. There is a cat in the book, but acts like a normal one. Not a cat who book. Iam going to read all of his books now.

Jane Stuart and her cat Winky are likeable characters and I thought the mystery was well done. I'd like to read more of this series.
One of the best written cozy mysteries I have read! Look forward to reading all in this series!

I just finished this book 2/20/2010 I found it to be rather intertaining with a cute twist at the end. I feel it ranks up there with Janet Evonoviches bounty hunter series. Very enjoyable.
Jane Stuart is a literary agent. This is a mystery and Jane becomes involved in trying to solve the case when her son's nanny is murdered.
