I truly ejoyed reading this book. I would like to read Lone Star Magic next. Soul Magic was just as good. Karen Whiddon is a great writer.

Someone is stealing Fae's souls, leaving them in a zombie-like state. King Roark of Rune believes his nephew, Talmak (Mick) is involved in this evil plan. He sends his son, Cenrick to the mortal realm to find him.
Dee Bishop, a cop has had a string of bad luck. She has been suspended from her job. She has been dumped by her fiancé, and now her best friend, Mick has disappeared.
Dee is worried that something terrible has happened to Mick. She goes to his house to see if he has left behind a clue. She finds Cenrick hiding in Mick's garage. He tells her that he is Fae, and so is Mick. Of course she thinks he's nuts, but with a spell, he proves to her that magic really does exist.
While trying to unravel the mystery involved with stealing the Fae's souls, and who is out to destroy Dee, they also must deal with their growing attraction to each other.

This book is alright, but definitely not one of my favorites. The plot is a good one and there were a lot of twists and turns, sometimes confusing.
