The description on the book is a little misleading. Miss Lavinia's call is really a collection of short stories by Mrs Hill. Miss Lavinia being one of the short stories. Overall I liked them, I think the title story the best but all have there merits. I would recommend this book to all who like gentle stories about a time gone by!
