A look inside a family with numerous dysfunctions. Life did not turn out the way it was expected for the adults and the children learn their way through the chaos. I enjoyed the writing, characters and events.

This book was well-written, and parts were engaging, but overall I found the two voices jarring and somewhat confusing, and was very disappointed in the ending. Good, but ultimately unsatisfying.
