The Maggody series is a hoot! The author is from Arkansas and does some tongue-in-cheeck satire of small Southern towns along with the mystery. Most of the series is out of print now.
A trip to Memphis to see Elvis by Ruby Bee and Estelle causes no end of concern for Chief Arly Hanks of Maggody, Ark (pop 755). People on the tour start to die, and this is no laughing matter.
