Found this book in a used book exchange rack at the beach. Normally would not have picked it up, but I was desparate for something/anything to read. It was surprisingly good. Very well written. Also dealt with issues that made me think, which is not often the case with this type of novel. I would recommend it.

A terrific yarn says Larry King. Sidney Sheldon says a fast paced, high powered thriller written by two men who know their territory....story setting is Louisiana where a physician is poised to win confirmation as the next Surgeon General of the US...but, on the suddenly he is accused of gross infidelity..and the murder of his unborn child...media go into a frenzy...debates on both sides of abortion...a trial looms....and something else...something else..
