I really enjoyed this second book in the Ghost-in-Law series. I would highly recommend reading the first book "Trouble in Mudbug" before this one. I find the series to be well written and I fine it to be highly entertaining and funny. The ghost "Helena Henry" is a total riot. I am looking forward to "Showdown in Mudbug" which is the next book and where we might finally find out who killed Helena!
I highly recommend reading the first book in the series, Trouble in Mudbug before this one. Although this book is a stand alone, it will help with the finer details to read the other book.
I really enjoyed this one. The mystery was a good one...the clues are subtle and played out very well. Some things are a little obvious, but it works well in the story.
I'm looking forward to the next book where more about Helena's death is revealed (and solved, I believe).

I loved this book! I especially enjoyed the ghost and her antics. They are often hysterical. I cant imagine being stuck with the ghost of an ex mother-in-law. I quickly ordered the rest of the set!

Not laugh-out-loud funny like Janet Evanovich's books, yet quite funny and satisfying.
Family can be the death of you..
Sabine LaVeche needs to locate a blood relative fast her life depends on it.
Then Helena Henry shows up offering to help, and Sabine knows shes really in trouble when its the best idea shes heard in a while. When private investigator Beau Villeneuve takes on Sabines case, things heat up in more ways than one, and Sabine struggles to balance thoughts of a life with Beau against her chances of living at all.
As the investigation proceeds, they begin to uncover the secrets of Sabines past and one thing becomes clear someone doesnt want Sabine to get the answers she seeks.
I enjoy this series --- especially Helena the mother-in-law ghost come back to haunt Sabine and her friend. The story is well written, plotted, characters are developed nicely --- a great mystery with some romance, many twists, turns, surprises and often a cute sense of humor! Really nice mystery!
