This is my favorite book by Sandra Brown, I love it so much I reread it once every couple of years. I wore out my copy and am now requesting a new one. What a great story that pulls you in from the very first paragraph of the book. Sleep was not an option when I started reading this book. The two main characters were meant to be together and their chemistry was sizzling. You don't want the book to end.

The crash of a Dallas-bound jet wasn't just a tragedy to TV reporter Avery Daniels; it was an act of fate that handed her a golden opportunity to further her career. Mistaken for a glamorous, selfish woman named Carole Rutledge, the badly injured Avery would find that plastic surgery had given her Carole's face, the famous senatorial candidate Tate Rutledge for a husband, and a powerful Texas Dynasty for in-laws. And as she lay helpless in the hospital, she would make a shattering discovery: Someone close to Tate planned to assassinate him. Now, to save Tate's life, Avery must live another woman's life--and risk her own...

Five star for this story! The suspense will have you at the edge of your seat and the concluion will leave you stunned. This is a high tension story with twist and turns. entangled powerful drawn characters in passionate, motivating life forces with compelling intensity. Don't pass up this book or you will miss a great story.

ANOTHER GREAT BOOK BY SANDRA BROWN

This may be the best Sandra Brown book I ever read. I loved it from start to finish. Just great!

The premise of the book is absolutely preposterous, but if you can put that fact aside, the rest of the book proceeds with suspense and logic. There's a sameness to the male-female attractions and sexual relationships in Brown's books (I've read 7 or 8), but I guess that goes with the genre.

I found the first half of this book to be more compelling than the second half. The story is based on the interesting premise of a switched identity.

When Reporter Avery Daniels plane crashes, she is badly injured and mistaken for another woman. Avery is so badly injured, she can't make anyone understand that she is not Carole Rutledge, wife of senatorial candidate Tate Rutledge. While recovering from various surgeries on her face, she discovers that someone close to Tate is planning to assassinate him. Finding that she has fallen in love with him, Avery decides to continue posing as Carole in order to find out who wants Tate dead.

This book was hard to put down. The mystery has a nice twist at the end. I never would have guessed the villain. My rating: 5 Stars.

Crash of an airplane leads a badly burned woman who survives the crash to be mis-identified as her seatmate, a wealthywoman with husband and power. The premise is fascinating, and I found the book lived up to the idea. Good plot twists, and satisfying ending.

I read this book years ago when it first came out, but had forgotten just how good it was. Wow, it has really stood the test of time. It was just as jaw clenching today as it was then. A must read for yet to be Sandra Brown fans, and a great re-visit for established fans.
